Liked the staff but pricing is likely...

A little too far away for our preference, but overall nice facility and residents were well cared for. They do respite care.
Observations from a distance.

Mrs. Susan Kuykendall moved into EcoCroft at Milford Chase August 27th and she seems to be liking the facility very well. I am merely a neighbor who, along with my late wife, happened to know Mrs. Kuykendall and her late husband since about 1960. I still try to be of any assistance that I'm physically able to handle like being able to take her for groceries, very light shopping and sometimes we have a meal together away from the facility. Mrs. Kuykendall, being new to the facility is of course having to make a drastic change from where she owned her home, drove her auto, and had been independant since 1995. She is likely to get upset quickly, for having to depend on anyone as much as she does now , is taking some getting used to.. Like I say, she seems to like things pretty good and will adjust in a couple of months I'm sure.

reviewed on: 06/29/2021 by anonymousThe cleanliness of the community is nice, but the community has been through a little bit of a shake up with the staff and going through a lot of changes. This has caused some hiccups but they are working well with us to fix it. At first the friendliness of the staff was a 5, then it went down to about a 3, and now its back up to a 4. Our loved one is not to keen on the meals, but we do think that is caused by the rapid changes this community is going through. The activities are still pretty limited, and we think this is because they just don't have the staff to get all of the residents, engaged. When it comes to the value for cost we do think it needs to be more inclusive to one price, and have the services match up more to the costs. One thing that really sold us on Cadence was the bathrooms, they are extremely spacious and easily accessible. They have a built in bench in the shower which we really liked. One thing that is very important to our family is the communication and transparency between the management and the residents, and the management and VP's with the families. They are checking in with our loved one more and more and were all on the same page which is critical.

The community looked nice, and the staff was polite. Everything went well overall, but we did find another community that suited our needs better.
Caring Supportive Environment

It has been a great choice for our family. My stepmom is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. She feels a good sense of independence while being cared for in the assisted living environment. As her caregiver, having her here has been a big relief
