Couldn't ask for anything morereviewed on: 07/07/2021 by The Ely family
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Brookdale. Our loved one was here 6 months and she had great care. They made it such an easy transition and they took care of everything here and we could not have asked for anything more. I could call [name removed] anytime and she was very responsive and we became very close. We have no complaints at all they were very accommodating. I would recommend them to anybody who is looking for care for their loved ones.

It has been hard due to us now getting to interact with all the staff. I would suggest you look at another community. I believe we were sold a bill of goods. I've not been seeing activities being available for the residents. The community isn't doing another to stimulate the minds of the residents, when I am there.

The facility was too expensive and we did not think that our loved one would fit in well here. The courtyard for memory care residents was small.
A Temporary Solutionreviewed on: 07/29/2021 by anonymous
A lot of aspects have been very frustrating. You really need someone who goes in there to see your person on a regular basis and advocate for them. The things I have to call about are ridiculous. I know they're understaffed with the pandemic situation right now. But for as much as I'm paying, I don't fee like I'm getting what I pay for. We've had some issues with timeliness of medication distribution on medications where it's crucial that they're taken at the same time of day. That's been one of my biggest pet peeves. My loved one also didn't have a shower for the first three weeks that she was there because they didn't get her on the schedule properly. And they marked her down as refusing the shower instead of them missing it (so they can get away with waiting until the next scheduled day). Some of the staff have been like that, but one in particular has gone out of her way to make sure my loved one receives the care that she needs. The facility itself is kept pretty clean. They come in multiple times a day to empty the trash, and they do vacuuming and light cleaning about once a week. Overall the people she's met there have been pretty friendly. But I've just had so many frustrations overall.
I would recommendreviewed on: 04/05/2021 by Cheryl
My brother picked this facility because of the convenient location for them. It is a nice facility, it is older but well kept and has a lot of trees. It is all on one floor which is nice so you do not have to go outside to get things or get on elevators. They have a lot of different floor plans to choose from. They had a lot of really neat activities provided. Things like classes on how to work your cell phones, trips every week, people come from the museum and bring exhibits. etc. They do have home health available now that you can hire. I would recommend them to others looking.
