Community Reviews
good value
reviewed on: 11/14/2014 by AnonymousThough Emeritus at Westminster is not cheap, I did choose it because it was actually a better value than other options we looked at. I am not quite as impressed with the doctor as I am the rest of the staff. When he came, he asked a lot of questions about mom (such as "what kind of heart problems does she have") that I felt he should have already read and known beforehand. Any time I ask them for assistance, I always get it. They are very accommodating. Dad has lived independently up until now (he is 97) so it has been a hard transition for him, but Emeritus has made the transition as good as it can be.
Helpful, friendly staff
reviewed on: 02/19/2015 by AnonymousOverall I think they do a good job at Emeritus at Westminster. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and always very attentive and active with the residents. Really the only issue so far has been that the food service could use some improvement. The food itself is not that great, and they often will list things on their weekly menu that they do not end up serving.
If you are the right fit, it is a great place
reviewed on: 09/15/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Sunrise of Carroll because of the proximity to the family and it appeared to be homey. The room sizes here are a little on the smaller size. The food here is pretty good, they serve it restaurant style and you get 2 choices for each meal. I would want families to know when looking into Sunrise that they are not good with helping patients who have special needs. I would recommend this community with some reservations. If you are the right fit its a great place, but if something goes wrong it is not.
Overall Pleased
reviewed on: 06/19/2017 by AnonymousMy mother is doing very well with her move to this community. There is some room for improvements, but overall all is well. They are taking good care of her, and her needs. I know she is safe, and in good hands in this community.
Our tour eperience
reviewed on: 10/20/2021 by Kari MOur family had an in person tour and we were very excited at first because Sunrise was right around the corner from where we lived, but immediately it seemed more institutional. It gave off an old manor feeling and we were concerned with our loved one navigating through the rooms with her walker. The outside needs some TLC, however all of the staff members we met with did a great job on the tour and were all extremely friendly.
