Community Reviews
pleased with the personnel
reviewed on: 11/04/2015 by AnonymousI like that Oakwood Senior Living reused an old building. I'm all about up-cycling and recycling. It's got nice tall windows and ceilings, and wide hallways. It is easy to move around in as she is using a walker. They do not have any call buttons yet. I understand that they have ordered some that they can wear around their necks. I am wondering what's the hold up because they haven't gotten them in yet. My mother is getting tired of the food. It is a little bland. It could definitely be improved on. They may make changes as they get at full occupancy. I don't want to be too critical I am pleased with the personnel there. They are really nice to my mother. They encourage her to go eat and get out of her room. l of them because I know it's in the beginning stages. I am satisfied overall and have already made some recommendations to them.
We DEF made the right choice
reviewed on: 10/19/2017 by AnonymousWe moved our mom here last year. She VERY MUCH wanted to remain in our home but we felt she could no longer be left alone. SHE LOVES OAKWOOD. She's eating better, seems healthier. It was the right choice and the RIGHT PLACE for her. The staff really do care about the residents.
A Fancy and Nice Place
reviewed on: 05/11/2017 by AnonymousThey were on time for our apartment and gave a good tour of the community. It was very nice, fancy, and pretty. It was not what my cousin was looking for, she wanted a place like home.
Wonderful residence.
reviewed on: 06/24/2016 by CocobleuOakwood is new, fresh, and beautifully designed. It has wide hallways to facilitate two wheelchairs side-by-side. The resident rooms are large, have tall ceilings, and plenty of windows to bring in light. As you would expect, the bathrooms are spacious with nice vanities and tiled showers. The food is well prepared and appetizing. The dining rooms are elegant and spacious for wheelchair access in addition to regular seating. But best of all, the staff is caring and attentive. They are genuinely concerned about the welfare of their residents.
My Mother in Law Likes It Here, We Are Pleased
reviewed on: 10/20/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is doing very well here at this community. She has adjusted well to it, and she likes it. We know she is safe and in good hands here. They have good staff, and they have been helpful and courteous. I would say they need more aids to help out around the community. They do have nice activities daily for the residents. She isn't very pleased with the food, there is some room for improvements with the meals. Overall she is being cared for well here. I would recommend this place.
