Community Reviews
Wonderful, caring staff
reviewed on: 09/23/2020 by Jennifer DMy Dad's wife has been a resident of Monticello West for almost two years now. He continually expresses his confidence in the fact that she is safe, comfortable, and being looked out for. Style has always been important to her, and the staff do a great job of keeping her hair looking beautiful, and selecting a matching outfit with the perfect accessories and shoes. We are impressed with the cleanliness, politeness of staff, and the quality of the food. The staff in her group are wonderful. They are always active, engaging, and patient - and frequently have trivia-, joke- or story-time, that entertains the residents and has them laughing. It goes without saying that their job is incredibly valuable as well as challenging - but they have always exhibited positive attitudes and clearly make an effort to do their job well.
Review of Monticello West
reviewed on: 03/07/2020 by AnonymousFor me, Monticello West is a great place for me. I enjoy the activities that are provided - games, puzzles, a reading club, physical fitness programs and time to just sit and visit in the living rooms. The food is good! This is my home and I enjoy my apartment. The way to retire at 85!
Great People!
reviewed on: 06/29/2021 by JohnI'll start by saying it is almost impossible to be "5 Stars", only because this is a tough business. And a perfect score is unrealistic. My aunt, dad and mother all live/lived at Monticello West. The property has changed hands (new ownership) a couple of times, but the PEOPLE and culture are what makes this place. Having spent so much time there, I can easily rattle of a dozen people that have been there a long time and know me and my loved ones by name. I have had experience at newer "shinier" places, but none of them have the people and stable culture that Monticello West has. And the facility was updated a couple of years ago. Complaints about food are universal at ALL facilities, so the 3 stars for meals and dining should not be a deterrent. All places brag about their food, but the demographic they serve is hard to please.
Monticello West- A Gift To My Family
reviewed on: 07/30/2020 by Christie JonesMonticello West was a godsend for us. We had unexpectedly had to place my father in Memory Care after moving my parents 500 miles to be closer to me. Independent Living did not work for them ad we discovered that my father was further into Alzheimers than my mother had admitted. We placed my father into a Memory Care that my sister and I thought was a good place. Even after all of our research it became apparent within 2 weeks that we had made a horrible mistake. Monticello West came highly recommended and every day they live up to , or exceed their reputation. My father is calm now, he has a routine, and he is being cared for by people that care about him. The staff is open to communication and responsive to my families questions. I sleep at night now knowing that my father, who I love so much, is safe and in skilled hands. I am forever grateful.
They are doing fantastic so far.
