Community Reviews

Good value - 1-2BR condominiums, independent living only

reviewed on: 01/27/2016 by Anonymous

The Terraces is an independent living senior community. There is no assisted living or memory care support however you can arrange to have home care visit. Every building has a stair chair and each condominium is on a single floor and includes floor level pull cords that go straight to 911. It is a very small community and people watch out for each other. The Executive Director is wonderful - very attentive and works hard to draw residents out to socialize. They provide 1 meal per day just 5 days/week. The meal portions are generous but there is no choice. They make just a single main entree--however it includes soup, salad and dessert. It is very reasonably priced at $7 per person. The common areas are welcoming - they have a modest fitness room, craft room, library. Activities include shopping trips plus bingo, bridge, movies and occasional parties. The age range is 55 to 95. There are really two populations...the older group (~80+) who take the daily meal, and the younger crowd that does not. The meal group numbers about 25 at present. It's a safe place in a very quiet setting. My father is very happy.
