Director was great. Music every day - singalong. Roommates, and her roomie would have a dog visitor. No cats, yes, some men. People seemed a little lower-functioning than Mom is today. Place seemed a little too back (68 people). Great courtyard. Good energy, lots of care.

My review of The Hampton & Ashley Inn

We were able to do an in person tour about six months ago and we were able to get inside and see a couple of rooms. It was very clean from what we can remember and the staff members we encountered were very friendly.

When I went in to tour, it was a nice place. When I first contacted them from my list, I was told I would get information in the mail, I did not get it. After calling them they did not deal with what I needed. I kind of got the run around for a while. I did not like the feeling and I felt uncomfortable with the tour. I did not feel the warmth from the community.

Caring Support at The Hampton

Our loved one felt at home immediately at The Hampton. She told me many times how wonderful the entire staff was to her. They made her feel special and took the extra time to address all of her needs and concerns. All the staff are really terrific in their dealings with the residents. They always take the time to speak to each person in a very positive way. I was particularly pleased that they make sure everyone is involved in their activities rather than staying closed up in their rooms. I would recommend The Hampton to anyone with memory care needs.

My father has lived at The Ashley Inn for a little over six months. Both caregivers and management have made a real effort to find my father's preferences and needs. I appreciate the respect he has been shown. Every effort is made to make sure that his freedom of movement and action is not restricted, unless required for the sake of his health or safety. Services are not provided unless they are needed. The facility is run for the clients, not for the convenience of the staff. The pricing for care is based on overall requirements, rather than enumerating everything. Requirements change over time, and are re-evaluated to reflect resources required. The pharmacy used by The Ashley provides medication in pre-measured doses ("blister packs") to reduce the chance of incorrect medication. The price seems reasonable, compared to other pharmacies who do not provide this level of service. The staff is very consistent in administering medication.
