Felt misled during sales process
reviewed on: 04/23/2014 by Loved oneThe care here was alright up to a certain point, but unfortunately they were not able to meet the care needs of my loved one and we had to move her out. I feel like we were misled during the sales process, we were very clear about the amount of movement assistance she needed and they said it wouldn't be a problem. However after we moved in it became clear that they could not accommodate her as well as they said they could.
Dad loves it here and feels like he's home
reviewed on: 12/01/2017 by AnonymousMy dad lives here and he loves it. He’s comfortable, he feels like he has his own home, and he likes the food. I don’t really know what all they serve but they’ve mentioned meatloaf, soup, hamburgers, and various things like that. The facility is kept spotless and housekeeping comes by every day. They have a few activities and they’ll decorate for the holidays. The other residents look happy and the ones that I’ve talked to have told me that they love it there. The price we pay in total includes everything that he needs like food, laundry, medications, etc. Overall, I would recommend them.

We did like the staff and they answer our questions on the care that would have been given. We were impressed with the community. It did appear to have a nice menu with a nice variety. We would recommend this for families for the care and great value.
It's very clean, that's one of the reasons we chose it.

He's only been there a little bit and hasn't had a chance to get too involved with the activities, they do have onsite physical therapy though which is good. He seems to be happy with the food. The communication about appointments and transportation could be just a little better. All medications are required to be from a certain pharmacy and administered by the staff, which can get expensive. So far they've been very helpful and cooperative, if we have had issues, they are quick to reasure him and calm him down. We liked how clean it was and how friendly and proffessional the staff was, it was laid out well and has a very homey appeal. The price was reasonable. A Place For Mom made the whole process so much easier for us.
