reviewed on: 12/19/2017 by Gabriela ThormanMy mom has been in the Bristal of Massapequa for 5 1/2 years.....I can't believe how fast the time has gone by....but I am so happy that she is @ the Bristal and thriving!! The staff can't do enough for the residents and they know each resident & family member by name....They have helped her to maintain some of her independence and for that & for their love and support, I am very grateful. As I have said before, I can't give her the life she had before with my dad, but this is the best life that I can give her now....thanks to The Bristal and its wonderful staff.
Nice but a little institutional
reviewed on: 03/19/2015 by AnonymousI thought the community was nice but it seemed a little institutional for me. It was clean and pretty and offered lots of activities. However I thought the shared rooms were a little small, and did not offer much privacy.
Safe environment for the in laws
reviewed on: 09/03/2020 by JanetWe chose the Bristal at Massapequa because they were better able to meet my mother in laws medical needs. My mother in law was in a studio and it was fine for pm person, the rooms are adequate. The food is fabulous, they have a lot of variety. I would recommend this community to a friend or family member.

And the care is great. My parents are being taken excellent care of. It's been a great experience all the way around and I would highly recommend them.
Absolutely Wonderful
reviewed on: 01/13/2014 by DaughterThe attention was phenomenal. She had a very tough time adjusting, and they were wonderful with her. They would call me several times a week and they would send text messages with pictures of her participating in the different activities. She wasn't there long, but I couldn't have asked for care that made me more comfortable. The nurses and the social worker especially were unbelievably good.
